My artistic practice is focused on doing whatever it takes to get to the final question; even if it means extremes. There is a kind of alchemy I am using to create, design, and bring magic to the mundanity of my life. Dance and flamenco give me language on how to use the body. Video, projection, and animation let me story-tell and craft worlds. Songs, poems, sex-noises, and nature sounds give breath to my environment. Video and technology is the carrier oil for prismatic ideas, distilled into top, heart, and base notes to create an effervescent experience.
Respiro… Breathe
"Respiro", to breathe… this idea resonates with my practices as a whole. My visual creations are snap-shots or breaths in time that explores narratives of augmented reality (AR), digital animation, photography, illustration, and print with analog/retro technology.
Some visuals rendered in the instant film are the result of hand-drawn and digitally animated visuals exploring themes of Queer loneliness and the unfolding reality that our existence for the foreseeable future will be a constant mediation of technologies meant to bring us closer while isolating us at the same time.
I am a dancer and tattoo artist whose love of “Sailor Moon” laid the foundation of my artistic journey, shaping my aesthetic, narrative devices, movements and master gestures. I bring the worlds in my sketchbooks to the moving world, where I can play and explore.
A hazy and nostalgic vaporwave glow surrounds my practice where I can relate ideas of transformation with pain and healing.
